Marinette High School Athletic Hall of Fame
In 2012, a small group of passionate community members started the Marinette High School Athletic Hall of Fame, with a vision to establish a board of directors and a selection committee to create an event to honor the greatest to ever call themselves Marines.
The visioning process included several names and various ideas. As we began to gain more focus on our purpose, which is to honor participants for their outstanding achievements and contributions in the area of athletics, we discovered that this was an undertaking long overdue.
The categories for nomination, as established by our committee of community volunteers, include athletes, coaches, teams, and individuals providing meritorious service in the area of athletics. The criteria are as follows:
ATHLETE:
A person may be nominated for induction in the category of athlete after a minimum of twenty (20) years have passed after graduating.
COACH:
A person may be nominated for induction in the category of coach after a minimum of five (5) years have passed since last coaching.
TEAM:
A team may be nominated for induction into the Marinette High School Athletic Hall of Fame in the category of team after a minimum of twenty (20) years have passed after graduating.
MERITORIOUS SERVICE:
A person may be nominated for induction in the category of Meritorious Service at any time at the discretion of the Board of Directors and the Nomination/Selection Committee.
